Brìghde Chaimbeul is a Scottish smallpipes player from the Isle of Skye. Her 2019 debut The Reeling located the highland pipes within a lineage extending toward drone, minimalism and electroacoustic practice without abandoning the ornamental and modal specificity of the tradition. Subsequent work has moved further into improvisation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
