Jennifer Cardini

Born in France, Jen Cardini has been making people dance in clubs and festivals for 30 years, and believes that there’s something deeper beneath the surface of electronic music, that has put them at the helm of sultry lesbian bars, blazing superclubs in Ibiza and precarious, unconventional warehouse parties.

The sometimes gothic, always seductive, wave-tinged house music they have canonised in their mixes, labels (Correspondant, DISCHI), remixes and productions has helped redefine the global perception of the French dance music scene.

They continue to leave their playful mark on festivals such as Glastonbury, Primavera, Field Day, Sónar, Butik Festival, Mutek and many others. Cardini is a regular some of the world’s best clubs, including Berghain, Outra Cena, Bassiani, Basement and Circoloco. They had also the opportunity to perform at iconic art venues such as MoMA PS1 and the Centre Pompidou

Jen has also launched her own series of parties, Nightclubbing, a platform for underground queer artists. The transformative power of music has been a constant source of inspiration for Cardini and fuels their creative curiosity. By the time the mainstream thinks it has succeeded in defining them, they have already moved on. This is essential to their status as an under-estimated pioneer.
