Gianni Gebbia

Gianni Gebbia presents Rêveries.

A constellation of brief musical gestures for saxophone and bansuri flute, where improvisation, breath and silence merge into suspended micro-landscapes of sound: echoes, vibrations of air, flickers of light. An invitation to listen slowly and leave room for the imagination.
Born in Palermo in 1961, Gebbia is a saxophonist, improviser and composer. Since the early 1980s he has pursued a deeply personal musical path across jazz, contemporary and ambient music and radical improvisation, shaping a sound of his own through extreme techniques such as circular breathing. Over the years he has worked with Heiner Goebbels, Fred Frith, Peter Kowald, Jim O’Rourke and Pina Bausch, among others.
