Paul Gerlach is a visual artist and scenographer exploring the intersection of spatial design, light and moving image. Years of experience within the German festival and club culture have shaped his approach to creating spaces where visuals become part of the architecture rather than an isolated medium. His projects include the curation of Tricky_Feedback, an ambisonic visual installation created for CCCongress, as well as collaborations with Nation of Gondwana, Garbicz and Fusion Festival. Working with real-time reshaped imagery, distortion and projection mapping, he reinterprets physical environments through shifting layers of light and moving image. His practice explores the space between the tangible and the virtual, turning familiar surroundings into places of altered perception.
